It’s harder to get a read on what’s selling at auction these days, mainly because there are fewer overall sales, compared to autumn or spring.
The chilly July winds must have sellers dusting their mantles for September.
There were a few sales in Camperdown this past Saturday, however, so the suburb deserves a further look. In fact, that whole area around Sydney Uni had several sales, including on properties in Annandale and Glebe.
It’s a wonderfully central spot, well linked by public transport, while the lure of the local cafe and food scene is surely part of the draw, too.
Prices can be high then, as you might imagine, and yet under $1m for an apartment in Camperdown seems within reason, in this hyper-competitive market at least. (There are more than 1,000 visitors per Camperdown property, according to REA Group).
The median price there is $1m, says Domain Group.
